Need Prayer?
Your local church is often the best and most immediate resource. Here are ways to engage:
-
Prayer Team / Prayer Chain
-
Ask your pastor or church office if your church has a “prayer chain” (via email, text, WhatsApp group, etc.).
-
Submit your request to the prayer team; ask whether they’ll commit to praying daily, weekly, or for a period.
-
-
Pastoral / Pastoral Care Ministry
-
Meet or call your pastor, associate pastor, or elders who pray for congregants.
-
Many churches have a pastoral care or counseling ministry that will walk with you in prayer and spiritual support.
-
-
Small Groups / Life Groups / Cell Groups
-
Share your need with a trusted small group and ask for help to pray.
-
Praying in agreement (Matthew 18:19) can bring spiritual encouragement and accountability.
-
-
Church Prayer Events / Nights of Prayer
-
Many churches host monthly or quarterly “prayer nights” or “24/7 (round-the-clock) prayer” events.
-
These are good times to bring and lift up urgent needs.
-
-
Church Website or App
-
Some churches have an online prayer request form or portal.
-
If your church uses an app or online portal, see if there’s a “Prayer Request” module.
-
-
Connection / Referral to Other Churches
-
If your church is small or doesn’t have robust prayer ministries, ask for referrals to larger churches or ministries in your city that host prayer gatherings.
-
-
Prayer Visiting Ministry (if available)
-
Some churches offer “prayer visits” where someone will come to pray in-person (home, hospital) with you.
-
Prayer Services
These are trusted platforms where you can submit requests or receive prayer support beyond your immediate circle.
